Harper's first Birthday :)
Now that I can look back and reflect on the past year, I can honestly say that the first few weeks were very challenging for me. I was extremely sleep deprived, I cried/sobbed every night for a week, due to pure exhaustion. I had thoughts that my life was going to be a struggle from there on out. Now that I can look back on it, though, that couldn't be further from the truth. Yes, there are struggles in parenthood, always, but nothing like what was going through my head in the early weeks. I absolutely LOVE being a mother. And being a mother to my sweet baby Harper brings me to (happy) tears sometimes because I honestly don't know what I have done to deserve her. She is such a beautiful girl inside and out and watching her kind, and loving personality blossom has made me such a happy mommy.
