4 months!




It's hard to believe that my baby girl is already 4 months old! I have been finding myself getting emotional over the fact that she is never going to be my teeny tiny babe any more but I'm at the same time so excited that she is growing up so nice and healthy. :-) It's my birthday today but I'm more excited about the fact that's Harper is yet another month older and that we share the 9th day. This is really the only time that it will be as exciting because next year it's just another month lol if that makes any sense... Any ways waking up to this beautiful little baby girl smiling at me is pretty much as good as it gets and this has already been my most favorite birthday of all. :-)




Likes/loves:
  • Harper loves to talk! I was actually getting a little bit concerned because she seemed almost to quiet and then of course one day she just started "talking" lots and with much purpose, and all my little mommy worries went away. haha and I must say, she tells the most awesome stories. ;-) 
  • Playing in her bouncer. Since she likes to stand so much we went and got her a little bouncer that she can stand in and play. It always puts a smile on her face. 
  • Chewing on things. Not sure if she is in the beginning stages of teething or what but it's all about chomping on things lately. Especially her fingers. 
  • Music. She loves music and if you pair it with flashing lights that's even more exciting! 
  • Grabbing her feet. :-) 
  • She had her first shower with mommy and loved it! 
  • Her favorite book is Sofie the giraffes busy day. Although she loves books in general. 


Weighs: A whopping 15 Lbs! (according to home scale) 

Diapers: Still in size 1. We will move to size 2 once those are all gone. 

Clothes: Size 3 month and 3-6 is what she is mainly in these days. Although some 6 month stuff fits her too! It all depends on where the clothes come from. I have found the Carter brand fits the must true to age though. 

Milestones :
  • Talking much more and in response to us. 
  • Grabbing her feet. 
  • Great at tummy time. 
  • I can carry her on my hip.  
  • Can sit up on her own if holding on to something.

14 Weeks

I wasn't sure if I was going to do a weekly update or not but I think it would be fun for the sake of me getting to look back on this super awesome adventure. ;) Also, I have always enjoyed reading blogs and keeping up in peoples lives, so for those who would like to stay informed about whats going on in my pregnancy/life in general, this is for you too!  Baby bump at 14 weeks Size : Baby is about the size of a lemon. 3 1/2 inches. Total weight gain/loss: The numbers are starting to creep up a little bit each week. :) It is sooo nice having an appetite again but now I want to eat all the time! The goal, though, is that slow and steady wins the race. I read that I should be gaining at least a pound a week since I was a normal weight pre-pregnancy.  Maternity clothes: I'm in that annoying stage where my old clothes are starting to get a bit too snug but most maternity clothes are way too loose. So I have been wearing a lot of legging and t-shirts for the time being. :)...

26 weeks

26 weeks I've got the 'smuggling a melon' look going :) Size : I'm not feeling lazy today so I will actually talk about Harper's developments this week instead of just copying and pasting. ;) This week she has hit the TWO pound mark! And she measures about 9 plus inches. Her eyes are beginning to open this week as well! Although there's not much for her to look at in my womb, she moves more if she senses light (or hears loud noises). I actually just went to a movie and she was moving like crazy through most of it. Now I know why! It was noisy :) All this responsiveness is connected to the fact that her brain is more developed and sophisticated at this point! Yay!  Total weight gain/loss: Things have been staying pretty steady this past week.
