Just a little update: 40 weeks and 6 days

I am so sorry for not posting in a while. Ever since my due date has come and gone and Harper has stayed put, my days have consisted of eagerly awaiting labor signs. This has been pretty frustrating at times as the signs will come and then they will go, but I know when she is ready she will come. :) I just need to keep busy and feel blessed that the waiting at the end has been the roughest part of my pregnancy.
I have a doctors appointment set for tomorrow (Monday) around 3:30, at which they will then schedule a day for me to be induced if Harper doesn't come on her own. My doc is not a fan of unnecessary inductions as they can up the chances of emergency c-sections, so he said that his comfort zone is no earlier than ten days past a due date. That would put me at the 10th of October. So we are hoping that by the end of next week we will for sure have a baby girl! :) I would love to have her come on her own but we will just have to see how it all plays out.

14 Weeks

I wasn't sure if I was going to do a weekly update or not but I think it would be fun for the sake of me getting to look back on this super awesome adventure. ;) Also, I have always enjoyed reading blogs and keeping up in peoples lives, so for those who would like to stay informed about whats going on in my pregnancy/life in general, this is for you too!  Baby bump at 14 weeks Size : Baby is about the size of a lemon. 3 1/2 inches. Total weight gain/loss: The numbers are starting to creep up a little bit each week. :) It is sooo nice having an appetite again but now I want to eat all the time! The goal, though, is that slow and steady wins the race. I read that I should be gaining at least a pound a week since I was a normal weight pre-pregnancy.  Maternity clothes: I'm in that annoying stage where my old clothes are starting to get a bit too snug but most maternity clothes are way too loose. So I have been wearing a lot of legging and t-shirts for the time being. :)...

26 weeks

26 weeks I've got the 'smuggling a melon' look going :) Size : I'm not feeling lazy today so I will actually talk about Harper's developments this week instead of just copying and pasting. ;) This week she has hit the TWO pound mark! And she measures about 9 plus inches. Her eyes are beginning to open this week as well! Although there's not much for her to look at in my womb, she moves more if she senses light (or hears loud noises). I actually just went to a movie and she was moving like crazy through most of it. Now I know why! It was noisy :) All this responsiveness is connected to the fact that her brain is more developed and sophisticated at this point! Yay!  Total weight gain/loss: Things have been staying pretty steady this past week.
