Another update- Post dr. appointment:



Today's doctors appointment went well. :) First they hooked me up to a machine, as seen above, which monitored baby's heart rate and my contractions. The midwife said that the results were text book perfect so that it was up to us on what we wanted to do next as far as being induced and such. We decided that we would rather wait and see if she will come on her own since she seems healthy in there and since I am feeling good. Therefore she had us schedule another biophysical profile, which is just an ultrasound that measures the amniotic fluid and checks out baby to make sure all is well. That is happening on Thursday, and if all is well with that, we will have another doctors appointment on Monday. At that point we will schedule an induction date for either that Tuesday or Wednesday. We are praying that she will arrive before all that but FOR SURE she will be here by mid next week! The waiting is almost over :)

14 Weeks

I wasn't sure if I was going to do a weekly update or not but I think it would be fun for the sake of me getting to look back on this super awesome adventure. ;) Also, I have always enjoyed reading blogs and keeping up in peoples lives, so for those who would like to stay informed about whats going on in my pregnancy/life in general, this is for you too!  Baby bump at 14 weeks Size : Baby is about the size of a lemon. 3 1/2 inches. Total weight gain/loss: The numbers are starting to creep up a little bit each week. :) It is sooo nice having an appetite again but now I want to eat all the time! The goal, though, is that slow and steady wins the race. I read that I should be gaining at least a pound a week since I was a normal weight pre-pregnancy.  Maternity clothes: I'm in that annoying stage where my old clothes are starting to get a bit too snug but most maternity clothes are way too loose. So I have been wearing a lot of legging and t-shirts for the time being. :)...

26 weeks

26 weeks I've got the 'smuggling a melon' look going :) Size : I'm not feeling lazy today so I will actually talk about Harper's developments this week instead of just copying and pasting. ;) This week she has hit the TWO pound mark! And she measures about 9 plus inches. Her eyes are beginning to open this week as well! Although there's not much for her to look at in my womb, she moves more if she senses light (or hears loud noises). I actually just went to a movie and she was moving like crazy through most of it. Now I know why! It was noisy :) All this responsiveness is connected to the fact that her brain is more developed and sophisticated at this point! Yay!  Total weight gain/loss: Things have been staying pretty steady this past week.
