6 months!!!

Where did the time go?!?! It is so hard to believe that my baby girl is already half a year old! I feel like it was just yesterday that she was born! I am so proud of her and her baby accomplishments and I love her to the moon and back. ;) Now if someone could just slow the time down, I would be super grateful.... It's all happening way too fast. :-/

Weight: 15 lbs

Diapers: She is in size 2 diapers and they are holding up great!

Clothes: Depends on the clothing but she fits best in 3-6 sized clothing at the moment.

Sleep: My oh my have we hit an amazing stride as far as sleep goes! (This {post} has the details.) We are getting a consistent 12-13 hour nights and it has been wonderful. I am so proud of how good of a sleeper she has become. We put her down anywhere between 6:30 and 7:30 and she wakes up in the morning usually around 7:30-8:30.
It was not an easy start. Those first few months were rough but she is definitely making up for it. She must be having a growth spurt because I feel like she is up for about an hour or sometimes two at a time before she is ready for more sleep. She gets about three naps and each one is about 1-2 sometimes 3 hours long. Oh, and she's a side sleeper! :) Adorable! What a sleepy girl!

Food: She still nurses, just not so much exclusively any more. My body doesn't seem to be keeping up with her demands So at each feeding I have been nursing first and then if she seems hungry still I mix up a bottle of formula. She is a much happier baby when she's full. :-) She is also getting real food now too! Once a day for now, usually at dinner time. Making her food has been a lot of fun and I can't wait to start mixing things up and trying new things out. :-)
"hmmm...do I like Zucchini?"

"Yup. I DO like Zucchini!"
Milestones
  • She still doesn't really roll over consistently on her own, but she rolls from side to side all the time. I know she can roll but she just doesn't seem interested in it. She would much rather sit up and play which makes it a bit harder to get her to lay down and practice rolling, lol.
  • She grabs toys and such and can pass them from hand to hand. Everything goes straight to the mouth at this point!
  • She can stand on her own while holding on to something.
  • Eatting "solids"
  • Sleeping through the night.
  • She can give high fives. We've been high fiving her lots at home and I was so excited when her swim teacher asked for a high five and she gave her one! Major proud mommy moment.  :-)
Likes/loves:
  • Sophie the giraffe! Must feel great on her little gums.
  • Taking walks/jogs with mommy and daddy. She loves looking around at all the new stuff outside has to offer.  And if I accidentally run into the back of Desi or Zoey, she thinks it's the most hilarious thing! :-P
  • Pureed apples, zucchini, bananas
  • She's tickelish!
  • Hugs and kisses are her favorite xoxo
  • Peek-a-boo
  • Sucking her thumb
Dislikes:
  • Getting put in her infant car seat. She gets super fussy even time now. I'm thinking it's time to switch to the convertible car seat now and hopefully that will help.
  • Being tired.
  • Carrots and sweet potatoes. For now atleast.
This month we...
Started swim lessons! Her first lesson was just this past Sunday and we are definitely going to have to replan or Sunday mornings because it was just way too much crammed into a few hours. By the time swimming came along she was a bit crabby. We will eventually figure it out though! Since Harper will be around water a lot this summer I feel like it is very important that she is comfortable and knows what to do when in the water. Plus, what a fun family activity it is!

We got Harper's 6 month photos done. :-) Amy with Little Fredericksburg Photography has done it again! The sneak peek is beautiful and I can't wait to see the rest! We have signed up for the "Watch me grow" package with Amy so she will be taking Harper's one year photos as well. We are so excited!

We got out of the house a lot more this month and I feel like that was a real good thing for me more than anything. I was getting a bit cabin feverish.
This also includes:
A Jcrew sale that my friend Kristin and I went to. They are amazing and I build my wardrobe with this sale! We went to one a couple of years ago and I am still wearing some of those clothes so I'm excited that we got to go again!

And...
A cocktail party for another friend who turned fabulously 50 recently. :-) It was a wonderful night to spend with my hubby and with friends!
Of course Harper was in great hands for both off these outings and I was so thankful for the little mommy breaks. They keep a mother sane! :-)
Wore the same exact shirt...that Kristin and I had both bought for our men at the Jcrew sale ;)
Totally not planned.

What a great date night with the Hubs as well!
Love my handsome man!

So thankful  for great friends<3
