20 Weeks

HALF WAY THERE! What an awesome week :) It feels so good knowing the gender and being able to focus my attention towards girly things! Woop woop! Time to get to work on this nursery. We still have lots of time, but it has been teasing me for so long as we waited to know if we were going to have a boy or a girl! 20 weeks :) Size : Baby girl is about 10 inches from head to heel- about the length of a banana. She weighs about 10 1/2 ounces. She is swallowing more these days which is good practice for her digestive system. Her mouth was open in most of the ultra sound pictures that we have of her, so I definitely believe that shes getting some good practice in! :) Hopefully she has fingers lol She didn't show those to us at this ultrasound!  ;)                                       But we know she has toes! Love this one <3  Total weight gain/loss: My a...

It's a Girl! The reveal

We could not be more thrilled about having a daughter!!! Tyler is definitely out numbered now haha Me, two female doodles and now a daughter on the way! :) He is going to be such a great daddy. <3 The way he interacts with the girls I nanny for has always brought a smile to my face because of how natural he is at it. I can't wait to see him be a father to our very own baby girl! And what a lucky baby girl she already is! The ultra sound was wonderful and it was so cool being able to feel her move and being able to see her move at the same time. Once we got to her face, though, she would not cooperate enough for the technician to get the images she needed. This means that we are going to have to go again in two weeks for a follow up. I'm OK with this, though, because we get to see her again! I was so back and forth on whether or not I wanted to throw a little gender reveal shin-dig for our families but I finally decided that it would be a fun idea. I...

19 weeks and emotional rollercoasters

What a week. As some of you already know, Tyler's grandpa who raised him growing up, passed away pretty suddenly this past Friday morning around 1am. Tyler was very close to his grandpa so he took it very hard. He has also been left with a lot of responsibility which has been a bit overwhelming. We are working through it together and with each day it has gotten a little bit easier. With things settling down we have had more time to celebrate his grandpa's life. We find our selves laughing and crying as we reminisce our days with him. He was such a great man and was always willing to help without asking anything in return. Just a few weeks, when there were a few of those random cold days, he came all the way out to our house (about 45 mins away) and fixed our heat because it wasn't turning on. We were super thankful! And the weekend before his passing we got to spend a few hours with him at his new place, which was such a gift from God now that we look back on it. We are goi...

18 weeks

18 weeks :) Size : Baby is about the size of a large bell pepper. About 5 1/2 inches and weighs about 7 ounces. The ears are just about in their final position. If it's a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are now formed and in place. If it's a boy, the genitals are noticeable now but he may try and hide them during the ultrasound. This is the kind of information that I'm sure my child will be so glad that I shared with you all. ;) Total weight gain/loss:  The numbers on the scale have stayed pretty steady this week but It was a crazy busy week so I am not surprised! I didn't have time to really eat like I have been lately, so I'm sure this next week I will see some more weight gain. Maternity clothes:  The hair tie trick with some of my pre-pregnancy pants is coming to an end. For example, I tried to wear some higher rise pants the other day and I got them on with the hair tie but i couldn't zip them up at all and they were pretty tight. So I ...
