19 weeks and emotional rollercoasters
What a week. As some of you already know, Tyler's grandpa who raised him growing up, passed away pretty suddenly this past Friday morning around 1am. Tyler was very close to his grandpa so he took it very hard. He has also been left with a lot of responsibility which has been a bit overwhelming. We are working through it together and with each day it has gotten a little bit easier. With things settling down we have had more time to celebrate his grandpa's life. We find our selves laughing and crying as we reminisce our days with him. He was such a great man and was always willing to help without asking anything in return. Just a few weeks, when there were a few of those random cold days, he came all the way out to our house (about 45 mins away) and fixed our heat because it wasn't turning on. We were super thankful! And the weekend before his passing we got to spend a few hours with him at his new place, which was such a gift from God now that we look back on it. We are going to miss him very much but we are thankful that he is now in a better place. Grandpa, Thank you for everything! We LOVE you very, very much!
I also want to give a shout out to my parents who I could not be more thankful for during this rough time. The day Tyler's grandfather went to the hospital, I was at work till late, so my mom went and stayed with Tyler at the hospital from about 5pm Thursday till about 1am on Friday morning. She was able to be there to explain what that doctors were saying about what was going on with his grandpa and was able to comfort Tyler at the time his grandpa passed. My dad came and stayed with me that night as well so that I wouldn't have to be all alone. And they have helped us out so much since then with cleaning out his grandpas house, the funeral arrangements, etc. I am in awe of my parents selflessness and I hope and pray that Tyler and I can be as good as parents as they have been. I love you Mom and Dad and thank you so much for everything!
My friend, Kristin's, bachlorette party was also this weekend. I wasn't going to go because I wanted to be with Tyler during this hard time, but he kept persisting that I go and my parents offered to hang out with him so that I could go spend a few hours with the bride to be. I was still hesitant but ended up going out and had a great time! My parents got to experience NASCAR watching with Tyler while I was gone, so I'm pretty sure they had a great time as well haha. I am so excited about my best friend getting married and was thankful that I was able to spend even just a few hours while she celebrated her last days in the so called "single" life. lol
Total weight gain/loss: Back to steady weight gaining. I surprise myself and Tyler with how much I can eat these days!
Maternity clothes: I'm prominently in maternity/loose clothing now.
Gender: Super excited about finding out THIS FRIDAY! :D :D
Movement: I have been extra busy the last few days so I haven't had much quiet time to really feel the baby but when bed time rolls around and sometimes during the day I feel the little wiggles and squirms. :) This always makes me feel better about little one in there!
Sleep: With this long and emotional week, sleep has not been a problem.
Cravings: Cinnamon anything, fruit, chocolate
Symptoms: I am starting to actually feel pregnant. Each day brings a new ache or pain. Nothing unbearable which is good! Mainly just back aches, some round ligaments pain (this is caused by the ligaments and muscles having to stretch to accommodate baby in my abdomen ), and leg cramps. I also get super tired at random times during the day and have to take a quick 5-10 min rest and then I am fine again. Fun stuff :)
