1 month checkup :)

Yesterday, the 15th of November, you had your one month check up! Everything looked great and you behaved much better then you did for your two week check up. But then again we were the first appointment that day and the weather was chilly so everyone had very cold hands! I would have cried too...;) 


Here are your one month stats:

Weight: 9 lbs 4 ounces

Height: 20 3/4
You were in the 50th-ish percentile for both height and weight and then they measured your head and apparently it is pretty big! They actually measured it three times to make sure they were getting the right measurement, haha. I think he said you were some where in the 80th percentile as far as head size (I need to write this stuff down). Just means you have a big brain. Smart girl ;)

Clothes: You are starting to grow out of your new born stuff! This makes me a little bit sad but I am glad that you are growing nice and healthy! :) 

Sleep: You are getting more sleep then mommy that's for sure, but my body is adjusting to less sleep so it has been getting easier to stay up through out the night. Although I am looking forward to more sleep in my future hopefully lol hint hint Harper ;)   

Milestones and other exciting things:
  • You have turned from your tummy to your back a few times since being born. I'm not sure if it was on purpose or not lol but I am still a very proud mommy! 
  • You put your hands together very nicely.
  • You smile back at us! LOVE this!
  • You are cooing and ahh-ing :) 
  • You have slept 4 hours straight during the night. Hopefully this number will have gone up by month two!
  • You have pretty good head support. I still get head butted here and there but I can tell you are getting stronger!
Even though it's just little stuff in the very beginning, I have really enjoyed watching you grow. Its all so exciting! I am really looking forward to see whats ahead and savoring it all as it comes and goes so fast! I have been praying for you everyday and I cant thank God enough for such an awesome gift that you have been to your daddy and I. Even on the hard days, I cant help but smile. You have that effect on me. :) I love you baby girl, always and forever.

14 Weeks

I wasn't sure if I was going to do a weekly update or not but I think it would be fun for the sake of me getting to look back on this super awesome adventure. ;) Also, I have always enjoyed reading blogs and keeping up in peoples lives, so for those who would like to stay informed about whats going on in my pregnancy/life in general, this is for you too!  Baby bump at 14 weeks Size : Baby is about the size of a lemon. 3 1/2 inches. Total weight gain/loss: The numbers are starting to creep up a little bit each week. :) It is sooo nice having an appetite again but now I want to eat all the time! The goal, though, is that slow and steady wins the race. I read that I should be gaining at least a pound a week since I was a normal weight pre-pregnancy.  Maternity clothes: I'm in that annoying stage where my old clothes are starting to get a bit too snug but most maternity clothes are way too loose. So I have been wearing a lot of legging and t-shirts for the time being. :)...

26 weeks

26 weeks I've got the 'smuggling a melon' look going :) Size : I'm not feeling lazy today so I will actually talk about Harper's developments this week instead of just copying and pasting. ;) This week she has hit the TWO pound mark! And she measures about 9 plus inches. Her eyes are beginning to open this week as well! Although there's not much for her to look at in my womb, she moves more if she senses light (or hears loud noises). I actually just went to a movie and she was moving like crazy through most of it. Now I know why! It was noisy :) All this responsiveness is connected to the fact that her brain is more developed and sophisticated at this point! Yay!  Total weight gain/loss: Things have been staying pretty steady this past week.
