Harper's 2 months
Warning - sappy mommy words to follow:
;-)
It's hard to believe that just a little over two months ago, I was sitting here very pregnant and thinking that Harper was never coming out haha She was only nine days "late" but those last few weeks and then days past my due date felt soooo long. I absolutely loved being pregnant but I was so very ready to meet our baby girl. Now she's two months old and growing so fast! I am loving motherhood and how it's one of the most challenging and exhausting yet most wonderful and awarding experiences that I have ever been through and it is only the very beginning! :-D I love the feeling of knowing that this is exactly where God wants me to be right now and I am so blessed and thankful for my wonderful hubby who also works hard so that I am able to stay home and raise our baby girl.
Happy two months baby girl!! We love you!!
I will be doing another update after her doctors appointment on Friday but here are some updates now. She's getting her shots on Friday the 13th, so I'm sure it will be quite the adventure. :-(
Weight: 11 lbs
Diapers: Size one
Clothes: 0-3 and some 3 MO things fit her fairly well :-( She literally grew over night!
Sleep: Ever since we tried swaddling her again, and she liked it, we have been getting more sleep! Her longest stretch has been 7.5 hours and her average is about 4-6 hours every night now. Thank you baby girl!! She currently sleeps in her pack n play napper.
Eating: Mommies milk on demand but usually its about every 1.5-2 hours during the day.
Play/learn: She isn't really playing with any of her toys yet, obviously, but she will get a pretty tight grip on them with her little hands. She also loves mirrors, lights and other shiny things. In the morning I will prop her up on a pillow next to me in bed and she will just stare at the ceiling fan for like half an hour or so. So easily entertained. :-P
Exciting milestones and moments:

Exciting milestones and moments:
- "Talking" a lot more now.
- She is following objects with her eyes very well.
- She has had super strong legs, since birth really, and likes to stand on them.
- Her smiles have much purpose and meaning to them now and they never ever get old!! :-D
- She witnessed her first snow/ice....seemed curious but not to excited.
- Her first Thanksgiving was great! And we were excited to have her Great Aunt and Uncle Benton from Tennessee come visit. :-)
- Also this month, she met the girls I nannied for, Grace and Hannah! I think Grace thought that Harper was going to come out ready to play, so hopefully they will get to hang out lots more in the future, once Harper is more exciting, haha. :-)
