10 Months




I can't believe we are in the double digits of months already. :( I am not a fan of how fast she is growing up, but at the same time I am very much enjoying watching her learn and explore new things! Parenthood is such an adventure with all kinds of mixed emotions haha. 

Anyways, with that being said, is it sad that I have already started planning her first birthday? I am starting a new job as a preschool teacher at our church starting in September (YAY! VERY excited about this opportunity:). It's a 9-5 job so I figured I would get a jump start on party planning since I won't have as much time once I begin working. Harper will be staying in the nursery right down the hall from the classroom that I will be in so I love that of course! I feel like it will make this transition from full time stay at home mom to full time working mom much easier! I feel so blessed in the ways that God has provided for my family and It's all thanks be to Him! 

Diapers: size 4

Clothes: 9 month and 12 month

Teeth: She now has two of her bottom teeth. She has been chewing on things a lot so I wouldn't be surprised if there were more on the way in the next few days. 

Sleep: She goes to bed anytime between 6:30-7:30 and wakes up around 7:30-8.  She is taking 2-3 naps during the day as well. The girl loves to sleep. :) 

Food: She gets a bottle every 3ish hours and gets three "meals" most days. She loves feeding herself. And her favorite foods are chicken, banana, yobaby yogurt and applesauce.

Milestones:
  • She can walk while holding on to mommy or daddy's hands. 
    • Light cruising on furniture and such. 
    • Waving and pointing. 
    • She is soooo close to sitting up by herself. 
    • She rolls around to get around. ;)
    • She follows simple directions very well. For example, she has a toy that you drop the ball into a hole. We showed her how to do it once and she caught on and did her self very quickly! 

    Loves:
    • Loves waving and pointing at everyone/everything. 
    • Loves when other people are laughing and joins right in. ;) It's super fun!  
    • Loves the swings at the park. 
    • Loves looking out windows.
    • Loves sleeping. Zzzzzz 
    • Loves her activity cube.

    14 Weeks

    I wasn't sure if I was going to do a weekly update or not but I think it would be fun for the sake of me getting to look back on this super awesome adventure. ;) Also, I have always enjoyed reading blogs and keeping up in peoples lives, so for those who would like to stay informed about whats going on in my pregnancy/life in general, this is for you too!  Baby bump at 14 weeks Size : Baby is about the size of a lemon. 3 1/2 inches. Total weight gain/loss: The numbers are starting to creep up a little bit each week. :) It is sooo nice having an appetite again but now I want to eat all the time! The goal, though, is that slow and steady wins the race. I read that I should be gaining at least a pound a week since I was a normal weight pre-pregnancy.  Maternity clothes: I'm in that annoying stage where my old clothes are starting to get a bit too snug but most maternity clothes are way too loose. So I have been wearing a lot of legging and t-shirts for the time being. :)...

    26 weeks

    26 weeks I've got the 'smuggling a melon' look going :) Size : I'm not feeling lazy today so I will actually talk about Harper's developments this week instead of just copying and pasting. ;) This week she has hit the TWO pound mark! And she measures about 9 plus inches. Her eyes are beginning to open this week as well! Although there's not much for her to look at in my womb, she moves more if she senses light (or hears loud noises). I actually just went to a movie and she was moving like crazy through most of it. Now I know why! It was noisy :) All this responsiveness is connected to the fact that her brain is more developed and sophisticated at this point! Yay!  Total weight gain/loss: Things have been staying pretty steady this past week.
