34 Weeks

*~34 weeks~*

Desi Loves Harper :) and her momma of course...

My status of Stay at Home officially begun today. :) Therefore I have begun the process of "nesting" as some call it. The family that I nanny-ed for blessed us with a lot of clothes and lots of other baby things and I can not be more thankful! Therefore, so far my nesting has included lots and lots of laundry and trying to figure out how I want to organize things.
I am so excited about this new chapter in our lives and can not wait to meet baby girl Harper in just a matter of weeks!

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

8 containers of baby clothes! Thank you so much Kim and Andrew!
Size Baby girl is about 5 pounds this week which is the size of a cantaloupe. And she is measuring about 18 inches long. She continues to layer on fat which is filling her out and making her rounder and more adorable by the minute! ;) Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. Also at this point, my nerves about preterm labor can be put at rest at least a little bit because babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies. Very good to know! :)

Total weight gain/loss: I have gained a total of 24 pounds so far.

Maternity clothes: Still loving my gym shorts, sweat pants and tanks ;) Especially now that I am officially a stay at home momma and won't be going out as much. I refuse to buy any more maternity clothes at this point. haha I say that now.... ;)

Gender:
 Girl, Harper Patrica <3

Movement: Little miss Harper is still very active and I am for sure feeling every move she makes! :) My belly dances a lot these days which is still very entertaining to watch. Daddy, Grand mama and Grand papa love feeling Harper move these days and it make us all that more excited to meet her!!! She is going to be so super loved!

Sleep:I am making a lot of potty runs through out the day and throughout the nights now but luckily I am able to fall back asleep pretty easily. Being able to sleep in has been pretty awesome too because I can make up for any lost sleep during the early parts of the morning once I get the bed to myself haha. I love sharing a bed with my hubby but there is something about being able to stretch out over the whole bed that sure does give me a good sleep!

What I miss:
 Being comfortable.

Cravings: Not craving a whole lot these days but I am snacking on strawberries, grapes, dark chocolate and carrots. :)

Symptoms: My back has definitely been aching and laying down is pretty much the only fix. I have my prenatal massage tomorrow afternoon though so I am looking very much forward to that!
With little one kicking me like crazy from within, I have been pretty uncomfortable. Especially my ribs which she likes to take a few hard jabs at from time to time. But I don't want complain to much about her kicks and moves because I love that she is growing strong and I am so thankful for that.
I am having a lot of mood swings. I will be super irritated about nothing one minute, then happy go lucky the next, then I am on the verge of tears...living on the edge over here! I am so thankful for my patient husband! He always seems to be able to bring a smile to my face. :)

Best moment this week: Last week was my last week working as a nanny and although it was a sad week, it went so great! The new nanny shadowed me the whole week which was a great idea as far as making the transition easier for us all. And as a plus I feel like a made a new friend out of it! She is going to be a great nanny to those girls who I have grown to love so much and I know that they are going to love having her as their new nanny! :)
On my last day the family was so sweet and Grace surprised me with a beautiful flower arrangement. Her dad said that she picked each type of flower that was put into it. So of course it was all pink, which happens to be our favorite color. ;) Then they gave me a book that had a recording of the girls reading to me which is something that I will treasure forever. I love listening to their adorable little voices. :) I am going to miss working for such a wonderful family but I am also excited that we have gained wonderful friends out of such a great job.

So much love!

Love you!! <3

Aren't they beautiful!?
