37 weeks- Full Term!
*~37 weeks~*
Annnnnnny day now! :) But also maybe any week now.... I am hoping for her to arrive sooner than later because things are getting quite uncomfortable but I know she will be here when she's ready. Gotta love the waiting game!
As we get closer to the big D day I have surprisingly become less nervous and more ready for it all. I think women were built that way because I have heard this happen to a lot of other ladies as well.
We had a good sermon at church this morning about fear and why we shouldn't.
The #1 way to conquer fear is to trust in God. This is exactly what I needed to hear.
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
Size: YAY little Harper! You made it to full term! I am still 3 weeks from my due date but if she were to arrive now her lungs would be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. She is about 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches long. :)
Total weight gain/loss: My appetite is back! Therefore I have gained a total of 25.5 pounds now (this is according to my nightly weigh-in).
Maternity clothes: I have realized that even some of my maternity shirts are not fitting at this point. I do have enough to last me through the rest of this pregnancy though so, stylish or not, it'll do.
Gender: Girl, Harper Patrica <3
Movement: I can tell that she has begun a more newborn-like sleeping pattern with more defined awake and asleep moments. Still a very active baby girl, though! :) She is getting lower for sure which is a great thing for my sore ribs, lol. And as I type this, she is moving like crazy (daddy is watching her move from across the room :) ) and has the hiccups. <3 It's a party in my belly.
Sleep: I am back on track with good nights of sleep which is nice and will hopefully come in handy for the many sleepless nights we have ahead of us. Of course, I am up at least twice through out the night for potty runs but the 4 hour stretches of sleep in between, I will take!
What I miss: I am getting really excited about getting to wear all of my clothes again! I know it probably wont be right away still but it will be nice to have more choices again. :) It's the little things.
Cravings: I've been eating a lot this past week! For instance, one night this week I made swiss and ham sliders (http://womenlivingwell.org/2012/02/super-bowl-party-ham-cheese-sliders/) , cucumber salad (http://www.keyingredient.com/recipes/175945132/cucumber-salad/) and then made some York peppermint brownies for dessert. This kind of randomness pretty much makes up my eating habits now a days. ;) I went over to my friend Lauren's house the other day to hang out and bake and that must have sparked all this random food making! Harper thanks you, Lauren! :-)
Symptoms: I have been having more Braxton Hicks contractions lately and I am still just at 1 centimeter dilated as of this past Tuesday. Getting comfortable is for sure a lot more challenging now as well. And although I am tired a lot of the time, I do get these random bursts of energy which are helpful as far as the "nesting" instinct goes. I am getting a lot done still.
Best moment this week: I had a very nice and relaxing week and was able to get a lot done to prepare for Harper's arrival. I got her stroller, swing, bouncer and bassinet/pack and play all put together so now all we have left to do is wait for her to arrive! :)
