8 months

8 Happy Harper Months!







This month was a fun one and had quite a few firsts in it! :) She is growing up right before my eyes, and I am loving how her awesome little personality is blooming. We feel so blessed every single day to be her mommy and daddy!

Weight: I haven't weighed her in a while so Im just gonna wait and let it be a surprise next month at her 9 month dr appointment. 

Diapers: size 3

Clothes: 6-9 and 9 month

Sleep: She is still an amazing sleeper. I am going to get a big reality check once those teeth start coming in though I'm sure!

Food: Nursing every AM and PM and she is formula fed in between. Her favorite foods are peas, carrots, zucchini, baby apple flavored yogurt. But pretty much she will eat anything. ;P

Milestones:
  • Finally rolling both ways consistently. My side sleeper in now a belly sleeper. 

  • She holds her own bottle at feeding time. This frees up a lot of time for me lol 
  • She said her first words: "DaDa" and "MaMa" :D
  • I have a feeling that she is going to be walking before she ever crawls. She is all about standing up and can pull herself up when sitting in our laps. She won't even attempt a crawl though.

Likes/Loves:
  • Loves splashing in the pool.
  • Likes to stand up and play.
  • Loves her Take and Toss sippy cups.
  • Watching Nascar with Daddy...oh boy lol
  • Sitting in her highchair at meal times.

This month we:
Harper got dedicated on Mothers Day, which was so very special for us both! 


We went to Piney Point (AKA the beach) to enjoy time with the Hicks and the McClure's. :) We had s much fun and we are thankful for such good friends. 

Had more playdates. :)

Visited the Children's Museum of Fredericksburg.

This weekend was our friends, James and Kristin's, wedding! They are finally MARRIED and I am so excited for them. :) It was such a beautiful and fun wedding and everything turned out so great! 14 Weeks

I wasn't sure if I was going to do a weekly update or not but I think it would be fun for the sake of me getting to look back on this super awesome adventure. ;) Also, I have always enjoyed reading blogs and keeping up in peoples lives, so for those who would like to stay informed about whats going on in my pregnancy/life in general, this is for you too!  Baby bump at 14 weeks Size : Baby is about the size of a lemon. 3 1/2 inches. Total weight gain/loss: The numbers are starting to creep up a little bit each week. :) It is sooo nice having an appetite again but now I want to eat all the time! The goal, though, is that slow and steady wins the race. I read that I should be gaining at least a pound a week since I was a normal weight pre-pregnancy.  Maternity clothes: I'm in that annoying stage where my old clothes are starting to get a bit too snug but most maternity clothes are way too loose. So I have been wearing a lot of legging and t-shirts for the time being. :)...

26 weeks

26 weeks I've got the 'smuggling a melon' look going :) Size : I'm not feeling lazy today so I will actually talk about Harper's developments this week instead of just copying and pasting. ;) This week she has hit the TWO pound mark! And she measures about 9 plus inches. Her eyes are beginning to open this week as well! Although there's not much for her to look at in my womb, she moves more if she senses light (or hears loud noises). I actually just went to a movie and she was moving like crazy through most of it. Now I know why! It was noisy :) All this responsiveness is connected to the fact that her brain is more developed and sophisticated at this point! Yay!  Total weight gain/loss: Things have been staying pretty steady this past week.
