25 weeks

25 weeks
Approaching the third trimester!
(Which begins sometime between 25-28 weeks.
Everyone seems to have their own opinion on it :) )

Size: Little Harper, you are growing up so fast in there!
Your baby is growing by leaps and bounds, reaching nine inches in length and passing the pound and a half mark. Under her skin, capillaries are forming and filling with blood and by week's end, air sacs (also lined with capillaries) will develop in her lungs, getting them ready for that first breath. Mind you, those lungs aren't ready for prime time just yet — but they are developing surfactant, a substance that will help them expand after birth. And speaking of breathing, your baby's tiny nostrils, which have been plugged up until now, are starting to open, and her vocal chords are getting ready to roar. Total weight gain/loss: As Harper grows so do the numbers on the scale. :) And Tyler and I have a little mini celebration with each pound I gain. haha High fives!

Maternity clothes: I took some advice, and did a tiny bit of comfortable dress shopping at the Old Navy. I have lived in those dresses for the past few days but I guess its time to throw them in the wash and find something else to wear. ;)

Movement: She is kicking like mad! :D Grace, the little girl I nanny for, got to watch and feel Harper move today! It was pretty adorable. She also loves to decorate my belly 'aka Harper' with stickers and other things from time to time. They are already BFF. :)

Sleep: I'm sleeping OK these days. Little Miss Harper is quite the active one at night which keeps me up or wakes me up at times. This is most likely a sign of things to come so I guess its good that I am getting used to her schedule now lol I also wake up with a very full bladder and my back aching. Putting a pillow between my knees seems to help so I have started doing that more often.

Cravings: I have been having a crazy craving for Cheetos for some reason and I have been doing a realllly good job at not giving in...buuuut I did just put in an order for them since Tyler was doing a grocery store run so we shall see if he got some or not. haha

Symptoms: My level of patience has been very up and down lately. Since I work with kids, I find myself with the least amount of patience while at work. When I find myself going crazy, I have to slow down and just pray. And I remind myself of this scripture: "This is the day the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it." Psalms 118:24. This may look familiar to some, because it was my FB status a few days back on a particularly bad day.
On top of that, I have been getting more heartburn lately and of course more achy back. I need to spend more of my time in the pool! :)

Best moment of the week: Harper's furniture came in! Things are coming together :) Ill add some pictures of the progress below. Also I had another appointment last Friday, which went wonderfully. Harper is healthy, as am I. Thank you Lord for that! :)
