I've got the 'smuggling a melon' look going :)
Size: I'm not feeling lazy today so I will actually talk about Harper's developments this week instead of just copying and pasting. ;) This week she has hit the TWO pound mark! And she measures about 9 plus inches. Her eyes are beginning to open this week as well! Although there's not much for her to look at in my womb, she moves more if she senses light (or hears loud noises). I actually just went to a movie and she was moving like crazy through most of it. Now I know why! It was noisy :) All this responsiveness is connected to the fact that her brain is more developed and sophisticated at this point! Yay!

Total weight gain/loss: Things have been staying pretty steady this past week. Maybe I need to eat more? haha I can totally work with that!

Maternity clothes: I am wearing a lot of the same things over and over again due to the limited amount of things that will fit. It has been so hot lately so I have been wearing a lot of dresses, gym shorts, and t-shirts.

Gender: Girl, Harper Patrica :)

Movement: Lots of movement! I love her so much already and feeling her move is such beautiful and constant reminder of how God has blessed us in a big way. <3 Plus, watching my belly go crazy keeps me pretty entertained through out the day.

Sleep: It was pretty good this past week. Rolling over is getting a little bit more challenging as my belly grows. It's a conscious effort these days(nights?).

What I miss: I miss my energy. I do have random spurts of it, but work especially has been pretty hard because energy is a pretty important part of childcare as many of you may know.

Cravings:  I haven't really been craving much this week. Well maybe ice cream, thanks to this heat.

Symptoms: Lack of energy at times, a head ache here and there, and achy feet if I stand for too long. Other than that I have been feeling super good! My blood sugar test is next week and I am amazed at how calm I have been about it considering my dislike of all things needles. I really think that since my last blood draw went so well that I am not as nervous about it this time around. Luckily, my wonderful husband will be able to go with me because our lab is open on Saturdays. That really will help keep me distracted. But, hopefully it all goes well so that I wont have to go in for the three hour test! Ill update all about this by next week or so. :)

Best moment this week: We got the last major piece for Harper's room :) The chair! As we rolled it out of the store a lady told me that I was making a wonderful choice on getting a big comfy chair and that they still use theirs for their 3 1/2 years old. She said it was one of their best investments. This was good to hear because we really weren't sure if a big comfy type chair would work in the small space but opted to go for it and her words affirmed that we made the right decision. I love it so far! I also made a scrap fabric banner for Harper's room, which was super fun to make! :)  Piece by piece, her room is coming together and it has been such a fun project!

Me "holding" baby :)

Trying to figure out the best place for the chair lol
