28 Weeks

Size Harper is settling into the proper position for birth this week, with her head facing downward. She is now about 2.5 pounds and measures about 16 inches. :) She is busy adding new skills such as blinking to her already learned skills like coughing, sucking, hiccuping, and taking practice breaths. Her sleep now includes the REM phase, which means that she could be dreaming already!

Total weight gain/loss: I have gained a total of 18 pounds so far.

Maternity clothes: Still wearing what ever fits. Trying my hardest not to buy any more clothes! Although it has become less tempting to shop because this is a really hard body to shop for these days. It's all good for the wallet. :)

Gender: Girl, Harper Patrica <3

Movement: We've got a little night owl on our hands! She is most active right as I am trying to fall asleep,of course, and through out the night I'll wake up to her kicking my full bladder. I have a feeling I will be taking a lot of day naps when she comes into this world ;) I'm also pretty sure that I felt her hiccuping the other day! Super adorable :)

SleepI have been getting used to her night time kicking so It actually soothes me. That is, until the middle of the night when I have the major urgency to use the restroom lol I don't usually have to hard of a time falling back asleep which is good, but I am finding myself getting really tired through out the day at random times so that may be due to my crazy sleep patterns now.

What I miss: At this point I miss nothing. :) Just thankful that Harper and I are healthy and doing well!

Cravings: I wish I didn't crave only sweets all the time, but I do, so it is what it is! :) I made Hubby stop and get us some milkshakes (w/ fries of course) on our way home the other day, and that really hit the spot.

Symptoms: I had a day this past week where I was feeling kind of crampy and my tummy just ached. I think she was having a growth spurt because I gained a pound that day and my belly got bigger. lol Gotta love all the stretching that comes with growing a baby!

Best moment this week: I had never really considered doing 3-D ultrasound before but then a FB friend of mine posted a link to a half off deal for one and we figured we would go for it at such a good price. I am so glad we did it! It was such an awesome experience and it was really cool to be able to meet little Ms.Harper in that way :) Makes me all the more excited to hold her in my arms in about two months give or take!
Also, on Sunday I met up for lunch with two of my good friends, Leena and Kim, which was a lot of fun and much needed. We all grew up through elementary, middle and high school together. Even though we don't get together as much as we probably wished, when we do, it is always a fun time and we of course always have a lot of catching up to do! Love you girls and I'm so glad you are both doing so well. :) Oh and I really meant to get a picture but of course because of this pregnancy brain, we parted without one haha.
