29 Weeks

Here is the teaser from our photoshoot! :)
Thank you Terra!
&
Love you Tyler and Harper!
<3
As Harper's arrival gets closer with each and every day it all becomes more and more real and I really couldn't be more excited to meet our baby girl! Its amazing how in love you can be with someone you haven't even met yet but I am definitely head over heals for her already. <3 When I do find myself having lots of overwhelming pregnancy worries and nerves I just remind my self that God is in control and that is the most comforting thing. :)

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (NIV)

Size This week Harper weighs approximately three pounds and measures about 17 inches. Although she has pretty much reached her birth length, she still has to chub up a bit...or hopefully a lot ;) I love chubby babies! haha Over the next 11 weeks she will more than double, or maybe even come close to tripling, her weight. And as she grows and the room in my womb gets tighter, I will be less likely to feel the big kicks and more likely to get poked by an elbow or jabbed by a knee. Sounds like something to look forward to, right?! ;)

Total weight gain/loss: I have gained a total of 20 pounds so far.

Maternity clothes: I was out doing a tiny bit of late night shopping with my mom this past Friday and I picked out some of my hospital stay PJ's! :) Nothing special, because I hear they are more than likely to get ruined and yucky, but something about a fresh new pair of really comfy and cute pajama's makes the idea of being in the hospital a tiny bit more bearable to me. :)

Gender: Girl, Harper Patrica <3

MovementDuring the third trimester I was told that I should start counting Harper's kicks and other movements. I am supposed to count her movements for an hour, two times a day (morning and then night), during her most active times. The point is to feel at least 10 kicks during this hour to make sure that baby is doing all right in there. If I don't feel 10 kicks in at least two hours, then that warrants a call to the doc. So of course, I get a little bit nervous when I sit down to start counting even though I usually get to 10 before even 15 minutes is up :). So far she seems to be juuuust fine in there!

SleepI have my good nights and bad nights. Still waking up at least once during the night for one reason or another.

What I miss: It has been a lot tougher to get around these days but I don't mind it. :) I am pretty sure I have begun the preggers wobble walk, lol.

Cravings: Of course I still have a sweet tooth but I've been noticing that I have been craving more salty and savory things this past week. Maybe my cravings are beginning to change a bit?

Symptoms: I called the doctor for the first time about a concern I was having about having cramps on my left side and because my tummy was very hard. They seemed to think it was normal but said that since my doctor wasn't in to check on me, that If I was still concerned, to go to the ER and have them check me out. I decided against that unless I was still dealing with it by that evening. Sure enough I started feeling better by that afternoon! :) So I do believe what I was feeling was Braxton Hicks contractions. Oh joy! I've had a few more of them since then but they haven't been to bad, just uncomfortable.

Best moment this week: This past Wednesday, Tyler and I celebrated our three year anniversary! We had a wonderful (but very, very hot) evening together getting maternity pictures done by the wonderful Terra Dawn Photography and then we ended the evening with some of the famously delicious Carl's ice cream. I am so very thankful that God provided me with such a wonderful husband and a great marriage so far and I can not wait to spend many, many more anniversaries together! :D <3

Cooling down with ice cream :)
