Caught Desi in motion :)

Size Baby girl is about the size of a Pineapple this week! Weighing over 4 pounds and passing the 17 inch mark. As her skeleton hardens she is starting to look less like a wrinkly alien, lol. :) With so much baby in my uterus, the amniotic fluid level has maxed out which is why some of her pokes and kicks can feel pretty sharp these days!

Total weight gain/loss: I have gained a total of 23-24 pounds so far.

Maternity clothes: Loving my gym shorts, sweat pants and tanks ;)

Gender:
 Girl, Harper Patrica <3

MovementSome of her kicks and pokes are for sure hitting me hard at times! But I am so glad that she seems to be growing nice and strong, so I'll take a few painful punches from within. ;)

Sleep: I was just thinking today about how easily sleep has come to me in this pregnancy so far. I feel very blessed as of now but I wonder if this is just major preparation for the lack of sleep I will be getting once little Miss. Harper actually arrives. As of now I will just enjoy my sweet rest and get as much of it as I can! :)

What I miss:
Lately I have been missing my work outs. I was never much of a major routine exerciser but would fit in a good work out when I could! I enjoy my walks now but I look forward to running and doing other more intense work outs again once I recover from giving birth!

Cravings: I have been eating a lot of fruits and of course the sweet tooth has not let up but I am trying to do my best to limit those!

Symptoms: In the last week or so my appetite has decreased, I am only guessing its because as baby girl grows everything is getting squished in there, making me feel a lot more full than I really am. The Braxton Hicks contractions have been pretty painless but have been coming more frequently. And my back has been aching. My OBGYN office is affiliated with a massage therapist and gives all there pregnant patients a complimentary prenatal massage. I will be receiving mine in about a week so I just need to get through this week! :)

Best moment this week: I had my first baby shower this past Saturday and it was so much fun! It was hosted by a few ladies from my church and I couldn't be more thankful. :) Harper got a lot of adorable clothes and lots of other essentials and I feel a bit more prepared now for when ever she chooses to arrive. It was a beautiful shower and a great time to fellowship with some fun ladies! :) Below are just a few pictures from the morning:

This next week is my last week of work :( This is a very bitter-sweet thing for me because I have been a nanny to these girls for a little over two years now and have known them for almost three years, so it will be a big change not seeing them almost every day. I see many play dates in our future, though, so It's not like I won't be seeing them ever again.  After all, they have become like family to me. Being a nanny is such a blessing of a job even with all its ups and downs. I have grown a lot during my duration there and I feel like it has definitely prepared me for motherhood and has taught me a lot about myself. <3 They will always hold a very special place in my heart! So glad Harper already has two very special friends in her life. :)
Being a full time mommy is definitely a dream come true for me, though, so I can't wait to begin that journey!
Not the best picture but it was the only one I could find of the three of us :) <3
