2013 recap


What a wonderful 2013! Here are it's events:
  • February 7th- Found out we were pregnant
  • March 9-10: Told my college girls I was pregnant at our girls weekend. 
  • May 17th- Saw Harper for the first time via ultrasound and found out we were having a GIRL! 
  • May- Tylers Grandpa died. :-( 
  • June 8th- Matron of honor and groomsman at Kristin and James wedding. 
  • June 22nd - Nursery furniture was delivered. 
  • July 13th- We snuck a peek at Harper in 3D
  • July 17th- Celebrated three wonderful years of marriage. 
  • Also got maternity pictures done that day ^
  • August 17th- Church baby shower
  • August 23rd - Worked my last day as a nanny
  • August 8-10: Went to Westmoreland for our last vacation without a little Miss Harper. I was 32 weeks pregnant :-) 
  • September 5th- Surprise baby shower @ Tylers work
  • September 7th- Baby shower hosted by Kristin and Sarah 
  • September 30th - Harper's due date
  • October 9th- Harper's Birthday! :-) 
  • October 24th- Newborn pictures 
  • October 31st- Harper's first Halloween
  • November 28th- Harper's first Thanksgiving. Great Uncle Ricky and Aunt Carol came to see Harper. 
  • December 24-25: Harper's first Christmas eve and Christmas day! 
  • December 29th- Tyler 's baptism :-) 
  • December 31st - Harper's first New Years Eve. Went to bed at 10 lol

This weekend was our friends, James and Kristin's, wedding! They are finally MARRIED and I am so excited for them. :) It was such a beautiful and fun wedding and everything turned out so great! They are such a beautiful couple inside and out and I hope they are enjoying their much deserved honeymoon in Hawaii! 14 Weeks

I wasn't sure if I was going to do a weekly update or not but I think it would be fun for the sake of me getting to look back on this super awesome adventure. ;) Also, I have always enjoyed reading blogs and keeping up in peoples lives, so for those who would like to stay informed about whats going on in my pregnancy/life in general, this is for you too!  Baby bump at 14 weeks Size : Baby is about the size of a lemon. 3 1/2 inches. Total weight gain/loss: The numbers are starting to creep up a little bit each week. :) It is sooo nice having an appetite again but now I want to eat all the time! The goal, though, is that slow and steady wins the race. I read that I should be gaining at least a pound a week since I was a normal weight pre-pregnancy.  Maternity clothes: I'm in that annoying stage where my old clothes are starting to get a bit too snug but most maternity clothes are way too loose. So I have been wearing a lot of legging and t-shirts for the time being. :)...

26 weeks

26 weeks I've got the 'smuggling a melon' look going :) Size : I'm not feeling lazy today so I will actually talk about Harper's developments this week instead of just copying and pasting. ;) This week she has hit the TWO pound mark! And she measures about 9 plus inches. Her eyes are beginning to open this week as well! Although there's not much for her to look at in my womb, she moves more if she senses light (or hears loud noises). I actually just went to a movie and she was moving like crazy through most of it. Now I know why! It was noisy :) All this responsiveness is connected to the fact that her brain is more developed and sophisticated at this point! Yay!  Total weight gain/loss: Things have been staying pretty steady this past week. Maybe I need to eat more? haha I can totally work with that!  Maternity clothes:   I am wearing a lot of the same things over and over again due to the limited amount of things that will fit. It ...
