Weee, Three months!
Three months
It has been such a fun month to watch you grow! You are definitely keeping me on my toes. One minute I feel like I've got this whole parenting thing down then the next I'm back to trying to figure it all out again. Keeps my days interesting and fun!
Likes/loves:
- Harper loves to stick her tongue out. It is super adorable and I feel like I need to refrain from playing along as to not start a bad habit but it's hard! :-P
- Loves to look at herself in the mirror. She always smiles real big when she sees her self. With that beautiful face, I don't blame her! Her play mat has a mirror and hanging toys so that has been pretty entertaining for her as well these days.
- She loves to *kiss*, or eat..., peoples cheeks. haha Not really sure what shes trying to do but its fun.
- She loves to stand up on her strong legs!
- Loves being read to.
Dislikes:
We were blessed with a very happy baby but there are a few things that she dislikes. She is not a fan of getting clothes pulled over her head. Therefore I will sometimes pull up her clothes instead of over. This seems to help. She is also not a fan of tummy time unless we do it while she is in a good mood.
Weight: 12.5 lbs according to home scale
Clothes: 0-3 is getting pretty tight but we are primarily in 3 month clothing. It's fun getting to put her in all the clothes that I just looked at and imagined putting her in while I was pregnant! If it weren't so hard to dress a baby I would play dress up all the time!
Diapers: Still in size 1's but once those are all gone on to number 2's we go! All too fast might I add!
Food: Still nursing. She eats on demand still but that's now about every 2-3 hours.
Sleeping:The week after Christmas we seemed to have some sort of sleep regression or something because she was waking up every 2-3 hours but we seem to be back up to 6 ish hours now. Yay!
I have been trying out her crib for at least one nap a day. She has been doing pretty good with it! They aren't the longest naps (ranging from 30 min to an hour) but I'll take it! I'm hoping this will make her transition to night sleeping in her room go smoother. However, not sure when we will make that change. The eat, play, sleep routine has been working pretty well for us too.
We have this sound machine:
And it is awesome! I strongly recommend it to those with babies and those with out. We all sleep so much better since we have gotten it.
She got too big to sleep in the napper part of the pack and play so she now sleeps in the bottom part of it.
Milestones:
She is doing a lot more vocalizing these days. I would love to know what she is trying to say and what's going on inside her little head.
She laughed for the first time!!!
She laughed for the first time!!!
Holding on and grabbing at her toys.
She has great head control.

Harper seems like the sweetest child alive! And no joke, I own that sound machine and refuse to sleep without it! Garland calls it the drug machine because he feels like he's coming out of anesthesia in the mornings. I'm glad it's helping your family too!
