Christmas 2013
I have been staying busy and have forgotten to blog about all the excitement that has been going on, so here's to catching up! :)
Christmas has come and gone. And let me just note that having a baby during the holidays completely changes the mood in such a wonderful way. :) Harper was my most favorite gift ever and honestly could have gotten absolutely nothing else this year and would've been 100% ok with that! So everything else was just a happy bonus!
Christmas eve we did the normal festivities just with a plus 1. :)
- My family all met at China House (the best Chinese food ever!) and had our Christmas meal.
- Head over the Fredericksburg Baptist for the candle light service. Harper did so wonderful and even took a nice nap on me during the message.
- Then we would normally go as a family to check out all the lights but instead we all stopped by to see our friends the Perron's. :)
Christmas day
- We woke up when Harper did which happened to be around 7-7:30. Her present to me was sleeping for 7.5 hours that night! It was wonderful and because she (we) slept so good she was SO happy pretty much all of Christmas day.
- The three of us went down stairs and we opened Harper's stocking. Then mommy and daddy exchanged gifts. :)
- We then head over to Grandma and Grandpa Henry's house to see them and her Uncle Alex and Aunt Sarah!
- Granda Lynn made a delicious breakfast.
- Aunt Sarah read the story of Jesus' birth and then we opened gifts.
- Once the afternoon came around we head back to our house and Grandpa Shifflett came over and we spent the rest of Christmas day with him! :)
It was such a wonderful Christmas and one that we will never forget! Harper's first!
Happy Birthday Jesus and thank you for everything that you are and everything that you have done! I pray that we can live the Christmas spirit all year long as we welcome in 2014.
